Loving the current routine CVF but sessions are starting to get too rushed. 35 mins coaching is great but if it means completing half the strength session, is is worth it? And it is frustrating being chased up all morning! Bear in mind a lot of us have to be away at 7am sharp for work too. Not a complaint – a constructive comment.

  3. Scott Waugh says:

Thanks for the feedback Andy. I always judge it based on the movement and level of technique ability in the class. I think on a movement like today, the push jerk, everyone will benefit from more coaching and more technique rather than getting through the full wod. I know it can be frustrating getting chased up but in a group environment the biggest thing I see in strength wods is people standing around too much when someone could be lifting. That’s not directed at you as you always get in there and get going! but as a group we need to keep it moving so we can get through. Also one of the most common feedback we get is people want more technique on the olympic lifts so a lot of time on the push jerk, cleans and snatches will become more common. Great to hear you are enjoying the current routine.

  4. Andrew Lucas says:

Like I say Scott defo not a complaint and I agree getting our Olympic lifts technique right is key. I personally really appreciated the extra coaching comments this morning – you just have to remember us old guys need more reco time between lifts %-)

I’m glad Andy brought this up.
I think the trainers have been forced into rushing alittle as the class size has doubled since the cancellation of the 7am and the arrival of warmer weather. A lot of the Oly movements we need to do crossfit workouts are with 3 racks.
The arrival of new equipment should help matters.

  6. Thank you for the feedback gents.

FYI: Class size increases are due to new members not 7am changes. This is awesome!

November is a high volume month. We will have a lot of data to go from going forward. We’re almost done.

We are always aiming to improve our coaching so please keep the comments coming.
