Adrian Padovano Nutrional Log

I have decided to start up a blog, which will hold me accountable for all the food that I consume.

I was following a paleo diet late last year, however I went off the rails and have declined to an extremely poor eating lifestyle which has negatively affected my training. A typical day would exist of a take-away lunch at uni (pizza, fried food), pasta/pizza at work and then another take-away meal after work.

So here it goes….

12/03/10

9:00am 2 Eggs with 1/4 avocado
2:00pm Roast chicken from coles, grilled mushrooms (olive oil), and 1/4 avocado
6:00pm grilled flake, 1/2 fried flake, 3 scallops, 3 crab sticks
9:00pm 390ml diet coke, glass red wine

The day started well, however caved in to temptation at dinner time, and over-indulged.

Breakfast: Scrambled Eggs with 3 rashers of bacon

Lunch: Home-made hamburger (beef, cheese, lettuce and tomato, fries and diet coke

Dinner: 6 slices of larger pizza.

I have fallen off paleo for the last week and a bit. I am currently in exam period, and although it is quite soft of me to do, I have been choosing the easy way out, and eating comfort foods. Starting from tomorrow, I am going to be more well prepared before meals, and going to give it my best shot to follow strict paleo.

19.06.10

10am 4 Eggs with Mushroom and 1/2 avocado

12:30pm Beef casserole

3:30 Apple, 15 walnuts and small can of tuna

7:00 (At my best-mates 21st birthday)Entree: Wagyu bresaola (Cured, thinly sliced wagyu) Main: Sirloin steak with roasted barley and a balsmic sort of sauce).

Really happy that I didn’t give in to the temptation and eat the pizza that was there, however, had 3 glasses of red.
Going away with mates after tomorrow’s exam until Thursday, so although I will do my best to follow it, I may have to make some exceptions for four days.
I will keep a record of what I eat, and post it when I get back - even though it may consist of a whole of pizza and take-away food.
