CrossFit Victoria - Uncommon fitness

WORLD CLASS FITNESS
IN 100 WORDS

Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat.

Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast.

Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow.

Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.

Staff members

Adam Stanecki - Director/CEO

Adam Stanecki head shotAdam has participated in sports and exercise since he started to walk. He climbed and jumped off everything he could find (and still does). He has participated in various martial arts - on and off - since he was ten years old, competing at regional and state level on a few occasions. Adam has also instructed martial arts over the years and is currently a student of Brasilian Jiu Jitsu.

Adam started his own fitness business in 2003 after working and training in London. His goal is to provide a honest, scalable and workable health & fitness to the community. Whether his athletes are elite or weekend warriors, he aims to provide the best techniques, instruction and results available.

Adam is a qualified Personal Fitness Trainer (Cert IV) and Chinese Medicine Massage Therapist (Cert IV). He also holds Level 1 Strength & Conditioning Coach Certification (ASCA) and is a Certified Applied Exercise Prescription Specialist. This year he will complete his Level 1 CrossFit Certification in the USA.

Peter Trapp - Partner/Operations Manager

Peter Trapp head shotPeter has been training people for over 20 years and has run his own athletic conditioning company for 3 years. He has joined CrossFit Victoria to combat the fads prevalent in the fitness industry that he labels “ridiculous”.

A dedicated boxer and talented junior middle distance runner, Peter loves the feeling of satisfaction that hard training and competing offers. He has been inspired by the teachings of Percy Cerutty – one of Australia's best sports coaches – and his passion is training sports people who want to improve regardless of their ability. His specialty is old style strongman training with a dash of powerlifting and fight & speed training mixed in.

Peter is a qualified Personal Trainer (Cert III/IV), Level 1 Strength & Conditioning Coach and Level 1 Track & Field Coach. He is currently studying to become a Level 2 Coach in both these fields.

As long as the client is serious about improving their fitness - both physical & mental - he will give his all.

Scott Waugh - Partner/General Manager

Scott is dedicated to making health and fitness simple again.  He believes common sense nutrition and hard training will get results, not machines or the next fad diet.

Scott is a qualified Personal Trainer (Cert III & IV) and is a registered fitness professional with Fitness Australia. In addition, Scott is a certified Strength and Conditioning coach (ASCA Level 1) and a certified Australian Kettlebell Instructor (AKI).

Away from work, Scott trains in MMA incorporating Japanese Jujitsu, Kickboxing and Brazilian JiuJitsu.
